spunq-modeller is a new version of the online database modeller opix. it is the first opensource version of this software.
strg.at has done a complete rewrite in 2005.
the main goal was to abstract the backend presentation-layer from logical parts using the same template-engine as in the frontends. (smarty).

all code is written in object-orientated php4/php5 style. there is a clear seperation between database-layer, domain-classes layer, eventhandling and presentation-layer.
